About

Welcome to my WordPress blog. This blog is for my degree program, “MSc in GIScience” with University of Salzburg, which is part of the UNIGIS International network of universities that offer online degrees in GIS.

Some info about me? I work for City of Vancouver in the Information Services department. I also teach computer courses part time with University of British Columbia Continuing Studies and British Columbia Institute of Technology Continuing Studies. You can see my list of courses on my Tech Earth Services website.

My thesis for UNIGIS is “Vulnerable Vancouver Finding residents at risk in an earthquake in Vancouver, BC, Canada“. The main product of my thesis is an interactive Google Map that researchers can use to look at data in different views.

Well, that’s all for now. Got to get back to my courses. There is never a shortage of things to do in this program – like making a web blog 🙂
